YEAV Winery Tour Sponsored by Coffey

The Young Engineers winery tour day, sponsored by Coffey had plenty to write about. Great sunshine, a coach full of enthusiastic young engineers, a wine expert giving us tips, giveaways, good food and of course plenty of great wine.
After a short bus ride to Mt Macedon winery, a few tastings were followed by a picnic lunch in the sunshine. Feeling very lazy, (even for a Sunday!) the group headed onto the second winery, Curly flat, to taste some award winning wines and sit and take in the scenery.
Plenty of wine was being given away (and drunk!) throughout the day and as we travelled to the Riddells creek winery, the spirits on the coach were very high. We then had the privilege of tasting a few wines straight out of the barrel whilst enjoying a spread of cheese, crackers and fruits.
All in all, a fantastic and memorable day was had by all. The event may well be repeated next year so make sure you look out for it and other terrific young engineers events in the future!
