The new Career Lifecycle & Management Series has been specifically designed for Young Engineers and is aimed at providing vital knowledge to enhance personal career progression and management.
For example, young engineers need to consider what type of engineering discipline they wish to undertake, what ultimate career position they aspire to (whether it is a traditional engineering role, managerial role, research and development, roles outside of traditional disciplines, international versus domestic careers, etc), and how it will impact on other life decision making processes.
The series will consist of six sessions centered around the broad theme of the Engineering Career Lifecycle. Each session will outline the issues, considerations and tradeoffs which arise in each stage of an engineer’s career, through speaker presentations and questions and answer sessions.
In addition to the six presentations, we will conduct two workshop sessions to enable attendees to further discuss issues and ideas. The aim of these workshops is to help attendees come to workable solutions to issues that may be concerning them about their career.
